ABSTRACT

The study is aimed to create a valid and appropriate instrument to measure the awareness level of Indonesians on the COVID-19 pandemic by using the ORID (Objective, Reflective, Interpretational and Decisional) instrument and to analyze the strategies to develop the knowledge needed to raise the awareness level. This study employed a descriptive approach by combining quantitative and qualitative methods. To determine the level of ORID awareness of respondents in Indonesia, descriptive statistics and inferential testing were used using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The results of the study concluded that increasing awareness of ORID in Indonesian society is unidimensional. That is, all aspects of the formation of ORID have a positive and significant contribution in increasing ORID awareness, although each aspect has a different contribution. Inequality of knowledge is one of the problems that cause differences in the level of public awareness in understanding the COVID-19 pandemic and thus making it difficult for the authorities to deal with the pandemic effectively. Overall, holistic approach needs to be applied by the government and communicated to the people so that government policies adopted in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic by strengthening social capital can be carried out more effectively. Meanwhile, the social capital could increase people's knowledge and the effectiveness of health protocols and other protective behaviors. Nevertheless, the ORID instrument could play as a vital role in disaster mitigation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

ABSTRACT

The goal of this study is to find the best pedagogical idea for learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The writing method in this article is the Systematic Literature Review method which aims to describe, study, and analyze students' pandemic pedagogy due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the digital transformation era. The selection of sources based on several criteria, namely: 1) literature must be directly related to local wisdom, character education, and the 2013 curriculum;(2) search for related literature originating from the results of research reports, national journals, international journals, relevant books, scientific articles, and scientific data related to the study of this article;(3) limitation of the year of publication of the literature in the last two years (2020-2021). The findings of the research indicate that, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the growth of digital transformation in the online learning system accelerated in Indonesia. However, this online learning brings various negative impacts on the pedagogical aspects of students in elementary schools. During the Covid-19, teachers must comprehend and use pandemic pedagogy while conducting online learning for primary school pupils. © 2021 ACM.

ABSTRACT

Physics learning during the Covid-19 pandemic must still be done so that students can still get physics intake. This phenomenological research aims to explore physics teacher strategies in conducting traditional game-based learning in senior high schools during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research data was collected through in-depth interviews with 10 physics teachers from five senior high schools in Yogyakarta. The ten participants were taken using the purposive sampling technique. The data analysis used analytic reduction which started with identifying important statements from the interview results, determining the core theme, and interpreting the physics learning strategy essence. The research results found that traditional game-based physics learning was carried out using contextual, inquiry, project, and problem-based learning models. The physics material is integrated into traditional games which include tulup, benthik, bekelan, sulamanda, egrang, sekongan, jeblugan, and gobak sodor. Physics learning evaluation is carried out by assessing assignments, performance, presentations, tests, and the results of making students' traditional games. Traditional game-based physics learning is done through distance learning applications such as Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom, Google Mail, and WhatsApp. Supporting factors for learning physics based on traditional games include efficient learning, learning can be done anywhere, and students can explore their abilities widely. Inhibiting factors for learning physics based on traditional games include unstable internet networks, students' different abilities, and never done distance learning. The physics teacher's competence, the student's abilities, and the facilities availability are the main factors in determining the learning physics success based on traditional games during the Covid-19 pandemic. © 2021 Sociedad Mexicana de Fisica.
